“The beauty of art is that it is subjective. For me, painting is all about creating some type of motion - vibrant, uplifting and joyful.”
ERIN MALKUS SIR
Born and raised in San Diego, California, contemporary artist E.M. Sir (Erin) pulls inspiration from her journey through life and her relentless craving to create. With over 30 years experience in the field of fine art originals. her compositions are carefree and timeless. During those 30 years, Erin moved to and worked in Arizona, met her husband and had a beautiful daughter before finally moving back to San Diego many years later.
Erin's art career began mostly with abstract composition. She participated in weekend art shows until her work caught the eye of a gallery in Colorado. It was the first of many fine art galleries across the nation to represent her paintings while she continued to participate in art shows and art residencies throughout her career. In 2004, while represented by the Phoenix Gallery in Park City, Utah, Erin was invited to create the original artwork chosen to embrace the feeling of the inaugural season of the Deer Valley Music Festival in Park City. The success of the music festival began a long run of her colorful, playful series, Music and the Musicians, which resulted in the sale of over 50 originals. Erin’s prolific array of work displays her aptitude for art technique and multi medium use.
Sir's works have been represented by galleries nationwide and purchased by art lovers across the United States as well as London and Vancouver.
